The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has declared that the opposition will continue to organize peaceful protests, accusing that dangerous means were used against protesters in the last protest.
Berisha said that during the protest, “grenades, highly dangerous chemicals, blinding agents and toxic substances” were thrown, as well as Molotov cocktails from terraces, which according to him fell among the protesters. He stressed that “there are witnesses” to these actions.
"We are for peaceful protests. In the last protest, grenades, highly dangerous poisons, bear dazzlers and other toxic poisons were used, Molotov cocktails were thrown from the terraces into the midst of the protesters. They threw them, there are witnesses. The last time Skënder Balluku, a criminal mercenary from Lubia thought he would close the Rama Balluku case with acts of bestiality against the protesters and I guarantee that he will be responsible for everything. The opposition is not defeated. The next opposition will be very soon and it will be the most magnificent that the country has known.", he said.
