A national protest organized by the Democratic Party in front of the Prime Minister's Office has begun.

DP leader Sali Berisha has left the DP headquarters, followed by DP MPs and members.

With today's protest, the DP demands the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama and Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku.

Previously, in a post on social networks, Berisha addressed a message to citizens where he called today the day when the opposition people put the head of government on trial.

"Today is the day of civic courage. The day when the opposition people put on trial the chief thief, the prime minister linked to bandits, traffickers and murderers. It is the day of victory over the evil that has gripped Albania," he writes.

Previously, Berisha has called for an end to pressure on the judiciary, which he said happened in the case of Belinda Balluku. He said that the prime minister is exerting pressure on SPAK and the Constitutional Court, where the Council of Ministers' request on the GJKKO decision to suspend Balluku from office is being reviewed.
