Analyst and candidate for MP on the LDK list, Kreshnik Çollaku, has commented on the political situation in Kosovo, describing it as an institutional crisis that, according to him, is sliding towards absurdity.
Guest on the show "Lunch Program" on News24 with Ola Bruko, Çollaku said that the constitutional deadline for the constitution of the Assembly has ended and that the country is facing a situation where institutions are not functional.
"This is an institutional crisis. The parliament was supposed to be constituted 30 days after the elections. And if it is not achieved, the parliament is dissolved. This deadline, which was also set by the Constitution, has been burned. Today, every institution of the Kosovo Assembly, the government, is unconstitutional. The situation is sliding towards absurdity," he said.
Çollaku also raised concerns about the consequences that this situation could have in the event of an external threat to Kosovo. He praised the LDK's decision to give up its claims to the government or presidency, describing this as a step that could help unblock the situation. Speaking about the election of the president of Kosovo, Çollaku spoke in favor of a strong political figure, stating that in the current conditions it would be better for the country to have a figure like Glauk Konjufca, rather than a president without a political profile.
Çollaku also warned that a continued return to elections would be a very serious scenario for Kosovo. "It would be apocalyptic if Kosovo goes to elections again. Four or five elections project the country as a failed constitutional state," he concluded.

This political radicalism is turning into social radicalism. Therefore, to avoid this madness, last night the LDK's behavior was to pave the way and give up any claim to government or president. Because it could lead to civil conflict. Those people are innocent, innocent.
I don't think there will be peace in Kosovo without healing from this disease that has gripped it. That a political force wants to have all the institutions in its hands, all the powers. This time it happens that a political force wants to have all the institutions. The game that is happening is: Kosovo, the political class, the opposition, are facing this blackmail, either the president will be taken by the first force that won the elections, or a colorless president, who is elected again by the party that won the elections.
Kosovo is not Germany or Malta, but it has a disputed sovereignty, with violated territory. I am in favor, for example, of Konjufca, rather than a retired president. Kosovo is not in the conditions to have a retired president. Osmani and the LDK gave up their ambition to be president. Yesterday, the LDK liberated the situation in Kosovo. Today, the majority has no obstacle to no longer creating this unconstitutionality and not endangering Kosovo. In my opinion, Kosovo does not need a retired president, but a strong figure. It will be apocalyptic if Kosovo goes to elections again. Four or five elections project the country as a failed constitutional state", declared Çollaku.
