Ukraine has launched drone attacks on several strategic facilities on Russian territory, hitting an oil storage facility in the Yaroslavl region and the Azot chemical plant in the Tula region.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the Azot plant is a key element for Russia's explosives production, while announcing that attacks have also been carried out on Russian military infrastructure in occupied areas of Ukraine.

"Ukraine is implementing its plan for long-term sanctions against Russia and missions related to medium-range strikes in response to Russia's refusal to end this war," Zelensky wrote on the X platform.

Meanwhile, the governor of the Yaroslavl region, Mikhail Yevryaev, confirmed that a massive attack by Ukrainian drones took place overnight. According to him, most of the aircraft were shot down by Russian air defenses, but some managed to hit fuel storage facilities, causing a large fire.

Since the start of the war, Ukraine has invested in developing domestically produced drones and missiles capable of striking targets deep inside Russian territory. This year, Kiev has intensified attacks on Russian oil refineries and military-industrial facilities in an attempt to weaken Moscow's logistical and production capabilities.
