The Feast of the Dormition of the Most Holy Theotokos Mary was celebrated with a special service at the Monastery of the Dormition of the Most Holy Theotokos Mary in Boboshtica.
Many believers gathered on this significant day for the Orthodox Church, while the service was led by the Metropolitan of Korça, His Grace Anastasius, who congratulated the believers on the holiday and especially women who bear the name Maria.
His Grace Anastasius also told the faithful the story of a girl who asked her mother for a mirror, and her mother chose to give her an icon of the Mother of God Mary.
Behind the icon she had written: "My daughter, this is the mirror in which you must look at yourself."
The Metropolitan described this message as a reminder for every woman and mother to have the virtues and figure of the Theotokos as a model in her life.
At the Boboshtica Monastery, the celebration of this day was accompanied by prayer and devotion, giving deserved attention to this important day for the Orthodox calendar.
