The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said on Thursday that the country had carried out airstrikes on targets in Iran and on sites used by the Iranian-backed Hezbollah militant group in Lebanon.
In a series of separate updates, the IDF said it had destroyed a "terrorist cell" operating in a Hezbollah command center in southern Lebanon and several other command centers in the capital, Beirut.
The Israeli military also said it had carried out a “large-scale wave of strikes” in Tehran. Israel struck an underground ballistic missile storage area, an unspecified number of facilities housing air-launched missiles, and several long-range missile launch sites.
An Israeli warplane spotted Iranian forces using a loaded anti-aircraft missile launcher, before striking Iranian troops and equipment, the IDF said.
