The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has announced the end of the national protest, which lasted for three hours.
During a statement to the media from the steps of the DP headquarters, Berisha said that today's protest achieved its goals.
"The next protest will be announced and its variants. Now we are on the battlefield and we will not stop until he is overthrown. Bravo! You are making history, this is a giant people!", said Berisha.
The chief democrat said that citizens, according to him, were ready to give Prime Minister Edi Rama what he deserved, while warning that resistance in the squares will continue.
"Absolutely this readiness will continue. We will continue this battle. We have one mission and one mission only, the overthrow of this criminal regime, this narco-regime, this enemy of Albanians and Albania. Nothing can save this anymore. Nothing can save it. The fate of Enver Hoxha will be there.
"The battle with the dictatorship is not a football match, no. Don't take it that way. The battle with the dictatorship is a continuous resistance. It is an unceasing battle. It is a battle that the undefeated opposition, those who make the impossible, possible, will win," Berisha said.
