Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz have made a special decision regarding their wedding anniversary, choosing to no longer celebrate the date of their first ceremony, but rather that of the renewal of their vows.
According to sources close to the couple, their wedding date in April 2022 is associated with unpleasant memories for them, while the private vow renewal ceremony in August 2025 is already considered the beginning of a new chapter in their relationship.
Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz were married in a three-day ceremony at the Peltz family's Palm Beach estate, in the presence of about 500 guests, including the Beckham family.
However, according to British media, particularly The Sun, the couple did not experience it with the same enthusiasm that day. A source said that the first ceremony was accompanied by tension and negative emotions, including the moment when Nicola reportedly ended up crying.
"Their first wedding is not a memory they want to relive. For them, that day does not represent how they feel today," the source stated.
In August 2025, the couple decided to renew their vows in a private ceremony, which was not attended by members of Brooklyn's family. According to the same sources, this event was accompanied by much more positive memories and will now be considered their "official" anniversary.
Brooklyn and Nicola did not post messages for their first wedding anniversary in April, but on the anniversary of their vow renewal, they shared declarations of love on social media.
"Happy anniversary Nicola. I can't describe how much I love you. You are my best friend and I am so lucky to call you my wife," Brooklyn Beckham wrote.
While Nicola Peltz posted a message saying: "Happy anniversary my love. You make life so beautiful. Thank you for being the most wonderful husband I could ever dream of."
The couple's decision comes months after Brooklyn revealed that renewing their vows was to create "new memories that bring joy and happiness." He also hinted that their first marriage was affected by family tensions, citing a previous conflict with his mother, Victoria Beckham, over the couple's first dance.
