In an interview on the show "This Week" on News24, MP Erion Braçe expressed his desire for an energisation of the Socialist Party.

He expressed that he respects Prime Minister Rama as a leader, but emphasizes that it is very important that the competition within the party be fair and honest.

Excerpts from the studio conversation:

Question: What if Rama says no?

Erion Brace: With no notice, it is unlikely that I will receive a notice.

Question: Can the SP win today, without Rama's blessing?

Erion Brace: I think and respect Rama as the leader of the Socialist Party. Of the party where members, sympathizers who want to use this political instrument decide by vote for the people they want to represent and the path that the Socialist Party should follow. There are those in television studios who perceive Rama as a king, as the man who is the only one who decides in the Socialist Party. I do not think of him as such, but as I have known and supported him. It is within everyone's right to think of the other as they see him. I understand as I said and I want it to be so because I do not want my support to go to waste. And it continues like this.

To be honest, I didn't like the September announcement, but an operation had just started where I campaigned, the return of public spaces, and I was focused on being fair. But in a political space such as the National Assembly of the Socialist Party, these announcements have started to become frequent. That announcement there, I didn't like. The government is his attribute, so the government is exactly his job, the selection of people in the government, but not for people who have to run in the elections. People who run in the elections have to go through a process, so it has to happen like this.
