Tirana, July 09, 2026 – Tirana International Airport (TIA) hosted today the inaugural flight of Chair Airlines, marking the start of its operations at Tirana International Airport.
The new direct line between Zurich and Tirana will operate three days a week, every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, offering more travel options for passengers traveling between Albania and Switzerland.
To mark this moment, the first flight was welcomed at TIA with a traditional and symbolic ceremony to celebrate the launch of this collaboration.
Chair Airlines is a Swiss leisure airline based in Zurich, operating a modern fleet of Airbus A319 and A320 aircraft. With the addition of Tirana to its network, the company expands its presence in the Balkans and offers passengers another direct flight option between Switzerland and Albania.
