Napoli coach Antonio Conte made his assessment before the challenge against Copenhagen in the Champions League.
"We have to achieve this together, any result other than a win cannot be positive for us." And looking at the table, the Napoli coach is absolutely right. To advance and aim for the knockout stages, they need three points. But to do that, they must overcome the injury crisis: "Unfortunately, some seasons start badly, it is clear that for now we are suffering."
But Conte, at least for the moment, doesn't want to hear about the transfer market: "Today we have to focus on doing well tomorrow, that's all, nothing more. There's no point in looking towards tomorrow if you don't think about the present. We will find the right solution to deal with the many absences due to injuries. The players I have at my disposal are always the most important for me."
"When you are missing so many players and the same players always play, it is natural to get overwhelmed," Conte continued. "We are trying to stay strong and do well. I congratulate the boys, but it is clear that we are suffering. Some injuries, like those of Neres and Meret, are inexplicable. We know that we are facing an excellent team, very prepared physically and tactically, and it will be a very warm stadium. Our fans are coming and we are happy. They will give us a big hand in achieving something special."
