The electronic tax system is facing a serious technical problem, where thousands of invoices issued by businesses and received by the platform itself are remaining untaxed. This situation makes it impossible for the receiving businesses to pay the invoices, creating a blockage in their daily activity.

According to sources within the company for "Kapitali.al", the system has not been synchronized for more than a week, which has led to the failure of the fiscalization process.

Currently, this system is being managed by "Albanian Digital Solution", the state-owned company created by AKSHI with the aim of taking over state computer systems whose contracts with private entities have ended.

The fiscalization platform was previously maintained by the private company “Primus Adriatic.” Although AKSHI opened the tender last year for the maintenance of the system for the next four years, the procedure was blocked after SPAK's investigation into AKSHI and has not yet been implemented.

Following this scandal, the government has suspended virtually all tenders in the field of information technology. This has caused contracts with private companies to expire and maintenance to be transferred to the state company, while many public platforms are experiencing repeated technical defects.
