Journalist Basir Çollaku, invited to the "Opinion" show on News24 with journalist Ina Qirjo, commented on recent political developments and the passage of the IBAR report by COELA, emphasizing that the concerns of international partners about the justice situation in Albania remain strong.

According to Çollaku, even though the report was approved, this does not mean that the reservations of the European Union and international partners regarding the functioning of justice and the fight against corruption in the country have faded.

"The report was passed, but the concerns have not been removed. In every meeting where the Americans and Europeans were present, the main concern was the relationship with justice and the refusal to open the way for SPAK for Balluk, because this will not be the only case, there will be others," he said.

Çollaku said that another point of concern for international partners remains money laundering, while he also mentioned several issues that, according to him, have been raised particularly by the German side.

"The Germans who opposed mentioned AKSH, Balluku and Porto Romano. There are three files where there is corruption, espionage and state crime," the journalist stated.

He added that international partners are showing more interest in democratic standards and the rule of law in Albania than Albanian institutions themselves.

"We are seeing that our partners are more interested in themselves than we are in ourselves. We go to them with a bunch of sins and say: forgive us, we will do less, we will steal less," said Çollaku.

Finally, he also focused on issues related to the AKSHI and the Belinda Balluku file, which he stated were "strange", adding that "the state is naked there".
