In today's speech, Edi Rama (today we are christening him as Mr. BelEdi) chose to attack SPAK and the free media again, and this was no coincidence.

For days now, the media has been warning of important developments and investigations that will affect people connected to power and crime. When a prime minister gets so nervous about justice and the media, the question arises: Is the fear personal?

Mr. BelEdi tried to present himself as a defender of his associates when he praised his former deputy Belinda Balluku with superlatives. But when he defends Balluku, he is actually defending himself. We have seen this scenario before. Just like with the Constitutional Court in the past, today he is trying to use the parliamentary group as a political shield in front of justice.

Today he even appeared as a defender of Erion Veliaj, while earlier he left him alone, dismissed him and changed his staff at the Municipality in the name of the capital's need for a mayor. This is his policy; one day he attacks, the next day he defends, always according to the interest of the moment.

Today we saw once again the great actor of Albanian politics, Mr. BelEdi, the one who is cursed by important people one day and servile to them the next when they need him. You only need to see his facial expressions and tone to understand the nervousness behind all that spectacle.

Likewise, Mr. BelEdi spoke today about roads and investments, calling them "historical works". But he himself, like all Albanians, saw what happened just a few days ago with the roads and the blockade of the Southeast. The reality on the ground speaks much louder than propaganda from the seat of power.

He attacks the media for the denunciations he makes, but the media is not to blame for the potholes and cracks in the asphalt, nor for the collapses of the roads or for the tunnels that leak water. The media is not to blame for the staggering costs of roads in Albania, which reach up to 4 times the costs in neighboring countries like Kosovo or Montenegro. Albanians know this difference well, because they often travel the roads in neighboring countries and clearly see the difference with the reality here, where potholes often appear immediately after the inauguration.

Therefore, Mr. BelEdi's words today seemed more like an attempt to cover up corruption scandals, an attempt that is unlikely to succeed. Because, as the people say, the sun cannot be covered with a sieve.

He mentioned corruption and justice again, but he forgets a simple fact, the SPAK that he is attacking is the very institution that he himself voted for and raised as a symbol of justice reform. If justice works and starts knocking on the door of power, this is exactly what Albanians were promised.

For the first time, Mr. BelEdi mentioned the “train station” today. In politics, metaphors often say more than words. And who is near the train station, it is known.

Therefore, the message is clear. The train is leaving. Whoever fears justice, let him hurry, because there are very few seats!
