The situation in Daias and the surrounding hills remains extremely critical. The large-scale fire is consuming entire areas of vegetation, while a massive operation has been launched by emergency forces to keep the flames under control.

The fire departments of Tirana and Kamza are at the scene, while due to the size of the fire, urgent reinforcements have been requested from Elbasan. Also present at the most critical point is the director of the Tirana Police, Oliger Torba, along with other police structures to manage the situation on the ground and guarantee security.

Currently, the fire is mainly spread in hilly areas. Aerial intervention by helicopters is impossible due to the darkness of the night, while so far there are no army forces engaged on the ground.

Despite the massiveness of the flames, fortunately, there are no reports of homes being engulfed in the fire so far. However, the flames have penetrated 2 to 3 uninhabited buildings, which have been completely burned.

Authorities say that every home near the fire has been placed under strict monitoring. A fire truck or an off-road vehicle with specialized personnel has been positioned near each endangered home, in order to guarantee protection and immediate intervention in case the flames approach further.
