Israel and Hezbollah have carried out overnight attacks. According to foreign media reports, Israel has struck Hezbollah rocket launchers overnight, while the Iran-backed militant group has carried out attacks in northern Israel.
A Hezbollah rocket attack has also been reported on the southern Israeli port city of Ashdod, making it one of the most serious attacks attempted by the group during the current fighting.
Donald Trump called on Benjamin Netanyahu to "calm down" and show caution in Lebanon.
Israeli attacks killed more than 300 people across the country, the Lebanese civil defense reported earlier.
Netanyahu said a day earlier that peace talks with Lebanon would take place "as soon as possible," as his country's campaign against Hezbollah puts pressure on a two-week ceasefire between the US and Iran.
The controversial status of Lebanon's inclusion in the ceasefire is creating tensions ahead of talks between Iran and the US in Pakistan this weekend.
Israel and the White House insist that Lebanon is not part of the ceasefire agreement.
But both Pakistan and Iran disagree and demand a halt to the attacks.
