New details have emerged from the action of the Tirana Prosecution and Police conducted this evening in the capital, at 3 Call Centers. According to preliminary data, 9 security measures have been imposed as part of the investigations. Four are the number of those arrested so far, while BalkanWeb and News24 have secured the names of 3 of them, Eduart Dalla, Tedi Agastra and Mateo Hoxha. The action is being led by Tirana prosecutor, Rovena Zoto.
Raid 3 Call Center
During the inspections, 3 Call Centers were verified, distributed across 4 work environments, with around 300 jobs in total.
It is suspected that these structures have defrauded citizens from several countries, including Austria, Italy, Spain, Greece, Canada and the USA, through various telephone schemes.
During the operation, the police have escorted several people, while it has not yet been decided whether they will be held in custody or released pending further investigations.
Police find 1 million euros in cash
Also, during this operation, approximately 1 million euros in cash, suspected to be proceeds from criminal activity, were seized.
Two of the controlled premises are located in the "Millennium Business Center", on Kavaja Street.
Investigations continue to fully uncover the scheme and the role of everyone involved in this activity.
