The fire situation in the Dibra region continues to be problematic, with two active hotbeds in the Selishta area, in the Dibra Municipality, and in the territory of the Bulqiza Municipality.
The most problematic fire is located in the Qafë-Helmes area, near the border between Selishta and the Fushë-Bulqizë Administrative Unit. The fire continues to be active and has spread into forest terrain, while the flames have gotten out of control.
The intervention of the forces to isolate and extinguish the fire is taking place in extremely difficult conditions. The rugged terrain, high temperatures and the rapid spread of flames are making it difficult for firefighting vehicles and forces to approach the fires.
Numerous forces from both administrative units have been deployed on the ground, working to isolate the source and prevent the flames from spreading further.
