For analyst Mentor Kikia, Albania must regulate road safety standards to avoid the loss of human lives from accidents. Referring to the accident that resulted in the death of a 7-year-old boy today in Elbasan, Kikia said that the place where the collision occurred is a "red zone" and with similar serious events in the past.

"The solution must come with strengthening security measures," Kikia added.

"If the perpetrator is convicted today, the day after tomorrow another accident will happen. It is a place where accidents occur, there are no overpasses," he stressed.

Mentor Kikia: I know the place where the accident occurred. It is a dangerous road segment, where the national road passes through the village and on both sides there are small businesses and commercial units. That road has often become a terrain of accidents, where the largest number of them end with injuries and damages. The loss of a child's life today is undoubtedly a serious event and such cases should be transformed not simply into cases of mourning and cursing for the suspected perpetrator Petri Bozo, but a stop to understand what can be adjusted to raise the safety standard in what are known as red zones.

In addition to the work that the law should do to regulate the degree of responsibility of the driver, measures should be taken to strengthen road safety. If the perpetrator was guilty, the day after tomorrow another accident will occur because this road has been an arena of accidents because it lacks an overpass. New roads cut through residential areas, cutting off communication between families and land and business. Secondary infrastructures should be considered to accompany each road.
