Democratic Party MP, Gjin Gjoni, invited to the show "Log." in News24, commented on the GJKKO decision to suspend Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku from office, emphasizing that the case presents serious elements of corruption and violations of equality in tenders.

Gjoni said that in this case it is not just about "theft through fraud", but about a broad problematic system that includes illegal decision-making and favoritism in tenders.

"In this specific case, we have elements of corruption. The lack of two bridges in the Llogara tunnel and the manner in which the dividend was paid to the Turkish company clearly indicate violations," the MP said.

He stressed that the ministry led by Balluku has administered a significant portion of the state budget, which according to him has created a dangerous terrain for possible abuses.

"About 60% of the state budget passes through the ministry she heads. This means that the task of managing Albanians' money has been left to a single person. The involvement in roads, in power plants, in the issue of licenses for wind and photovoltaic parks shows that the investigations will extend much further," said Gjoni.

The MP also mentioned the DP's concerns regarding the allocation of land for the construction of energy parks, emphasizing that there are indications of the involvement of "dirty money" in various infrastructure projects.

"Dirty money has been invested in many of the roads built or contracted. This is why we have asked all mayors to report in detail on the lands given for permits of this nature," Gjoni stressed.
