Former President of Republika Srpska in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Milorad Dodik, has declared that the Dayton Agreement that ended the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina "has failed."

Dodik, in a reaction on the "X" platform after meeting with Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić on Monday, said that "Republika Srpska has the right to defend itself."

Dodik has visited Israel and Hungary, before meeting with Vučić in Belgrade on Monday.

"I informed President Vučić that the Dayton Agreement has failed, that Bosnia and Herzegovina has atrophied due to the unwillingness of Sarajevo's policy to respect the rights of Republika Srpska, that the courts have become a tool of revenge, and that Republika Srpska has the right and obligation to defend itself and the Serbian people," Dodik wrote.
