Police services, after receiving reports of two fire cases in the territory of Durrës, organized the work to identify and capture the perpetrators, and also assisted the fire services in bringing the flames under control and extinguishing them.

In relation to the fire that broke out on an agricultural land area in the village of Ishëm, the investigative actions resulted in the citizens IR, 48 years old, and RJ, 59 years old, residents of Sukth, Durrës, while they were in the apartment of citizen SL, in the village of Ishëm, cutting iron pipes with a grinder, it is suspected that, as a result of the sparks created, they caused the fire.

The fire then spread to the surrounding agricultural area, including dozens of hectares of land, hundreds of fruit trees and olive trees.

Following the procedural actions, the Criminal Investigation specialists arrested citizens IR and RJ in flagrante delicto, for the criminal offense of "Destruction of property by fire".

Also, citizen Sh. D., 44 years old, was identified and arrested, after allegedly starting a fire in the village of Rreth, Shijak, where, as a result, electrical wires and vegetation were burned.

The procedural materials for both cases were referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Durrës, for the criminal offenses of "Destruction of property by fire" and "Destruction of the electrical network".

The Durrës Local Police Directorate appeals to citizens to show maximum caution and not to carry out actions that could cause fires, which could have serious consequences for the lives and property of citizens.

In particular, the Police appeal to residents who burn agricultural waste or clean the territory through burning, not to carry out such actions, as they will face legal liability.

The police invite citizens to report any case of arson or other illegality to 112, guaranteeing an immediate and impartial response.
