An accident occurred on Saturday evening in the Lalëzit Bay area, in Durrës.

Two vehicles collided, resulting in the death of a 57-year-old man who was a passenger in one of the vehicles. Both drivers and another passenger were also injured in the collision.

Police announce that the two drivers have been arrested in flagrante delicto, as they are suspected of being drunk at the time of the accident.

The police are continuing their work to fully elucidate the circumstances of the incident.

"Around 22:00, in Lalëzi Bay, two vehicles collided. As a result, a 57-year-old man, who was a passenger in one of the vehicles, lost his life. The drivers of the vehicles and a passenger were also injured. Following procedural actions, the drivers of both vehicles were arrested in flagrante delicto, who were found to be driving while intoxicated," the police statement said.
