Dinamo has started this phase of the championship in the best way. Two victories over Skënderbeu and Elbasan were followed by success in the derby against Partizan, giving the Blues three consecutive victories in the championship.
A series that had been missing for many years and that now gives another meaning to the positive moment the team is going through. With the victory over Partizan, Dinamo achieves three consecutive victories in the Superiore, something that it had not achieved since the 2009/2010 season, when the Blues won the last championship title. After 16 years, Dinamo thus returns a series that had been missing in the championship for a long time.
FROM THE LACK OF CONTINUITY TO THREE WINS IN A ROW
The last two victories had brought Dinamo back to a positive moment and now the team has concretized this progress with the third consecutive success. During the last two seasons, Dinamo's problem has not been the lack of victories, but precisely the lack of continuity.
Last season, the Blues never managed to win three consecutive league games, despite coming very close on several occasions. The closest they came was in late September, when Dinamo beat Tirana on September 27 and a week later beat Flamurtari. In the following match, a draw against Egnatia ended the streak and prevented the team from achieving three consecutive victories.
Dinamo then won two more matches, registering four wins in five matches, but without being able to make it back-to-back. In fact, last season the Blues managed to build a four-game winning streak, but this run included matches in the championship, Cup and Super Cup.
When it comes to the championship alone, three consecutive victories were not achieved. This time the story is different. Skënderbeu, Elbasan and Partizan are now the three opponents that Dinamo has defeated in a row in the Superiore, breaking a statistic that lasted since the 2009/2010 season.
NOT ALONE
However, beyond the statistics and the fact that this series had been missing for 16 years, three consecutive victories cannot be considered something extraordinary in the Albanian championship. More than the exclusive merit of the current Dinamo, this statistic also shows the weakness of the team in previous seasons, when there was a lack of continuity in results.
In this championship, three consecutive victories have also been achieved by Teuta and Egnatia, so Dinamo is not alone in this aspect. The value of this series lies mainly in relation to itself: after several seasons where the Blues were unable to build such continuity, returning to three consecutive victories is undoubtedly a step forward. And in this context, the three points lost against Vora remains even more painful.
With pen and paper, Egnatia and Teuta managed to get the three points against Vora, while Dinamo dropped the points in that match. In a championship where the differences are small and where every point can have great weight in the end, such cases can prove decisive. Dinamo has already got the series it has been missing for years.
Three consecutive victories are on the Blues' account, but the real challenge begins now: to turn this moment into continuity and not stop there. Only work and concentration until the end, because the championship formula itself means that even a single point can determine the winner of the championship in the end.
