Three weeks of the championship are enough to create a first overview, although certainly not to give the verdict for an entire season. For Dinamo, the comparison between the start of the 2025/26 season and that of the current 2026/27 season brings a noticeable difference.

A year ago, the Blues ended the third week with just one win and two losses, while this season they have collected two wins in three matches and are in the upper zone of the classification. The results show another pace from 3 points in the first three weeks of last season, Dinamo has gone to 6 points this season. But beyond the numbers, the way in which these points were obtained also tells an interesting story.

If in 2025/26 the team scored three goals and conceded the same number, this time the balance is again positive in goal difference, but with a special characteristic: all three matches have been decided by a difference of only one goal.

SEASON 2025/2026– Dinamo started the 2025/26 season with a minimal away loss. In the match against Teuta, the capital team was defeated 1-0, starting the championship without points and without a goal scored. The reaction came in the second week and was convincing. At home, Dinamo defeated Vllaznia 3-1, taking the first three points and giving the signal that the loss in the debut could simply be a fluctuating moment. It was also the only match of that start where the Blues scored more than one goal. But the third week brought another blow.

In the away match against Elbasan, Dinamo lost 1-0 and after three weeks closed the balance with one win and two losses. In total, the team had collected 3 points, with 3 goals scored and 3 conceded. So, the start of last season was unstable: one loss, one clean win and then another loss. Dinamo failed to build a series of positive results and after three weeks was in the lower half of the table.

SEASON 2026/2027 – A year later, history has started differently. Dinamo opened the championship at home against Vora, but the debut was not what was expected. A goal from the guests gave Vora a 1-0 victory and the Blues were left without points again in the first week. The big change came immediately in the second week. In the away match against Skënderbeg, Dinamo won 1-0 and got the first three points of the season. A minimal success, but important for the way the team reacted after the defeat in the debut.

In the third week came the second victory. Against Elbasan, this time at home, Dinamo triumphed 2-1. Thus, after three weeks, the team has 6 points, with two wins and one loss. In the current classification, Dinamo ranks third, behind Egnatia and Teuta. Egnatia has full points, 9, while Teuta has 7. Dinamo follows with 6 points, ahead of Partizan, Laç and the other teams.

The goal balance is also positive: 3 scored and 2 conceded. But what stands out the most is the efficiency in the results. Both victories were achieved with a minimal result, against Skënderbeg 1-0 and against Elbasan 2-1. Dinamo has not yet produced a deep victory, but has known how to get points in the matches where they were needed. And this is precisely where one of the main changes with last season lies, where after three weeks, Dinamo has doubled the number of points.

COMMONS – Despite the difference in points, the two starts have some common elements. In both seasons, Dinamo has lost the first match. In 2025/26 it was Teuta who won 1-0, while in 2026/27 it was Vora who got the three points in the “debut” of the championship. Another commonality is that Dinamo has reacted immediately after the first loss.

Last season, the victory over Vllaznia came in the second week. This season, the answer was the same in terms of points: success in the second week, this time against Skënderbeg. The opponent for the third week is also the same: Elbasan. But the result has completely changed.

In the 2025/26 season, Elbasan won 1-0 against Dinamo. The following year, Dinamo responded and won 2-1. Thus, this season's Dinamo has received double the points it had after three weeks a year ago and has climbed from seventh to third place. However, another statistic is almost identical: the number of goals scored.

Both teams, at the same point in the championship, have scored three goals each. The difference lies in the defense and above all in the results. Last season's Dinamo conceded 3 goals, while this one has conceded 2. One less goal conceded was enough to turn a loss into a victory and bring three more points. After three weeks, therefore, the picture is clear:

Dinamo has not dramatically changed its offensive numbers, but it has improved its balance of results. Instead of one win and two losses, it has two wins and one loss. Instead of 3 points, it has 6.

And instead of seventh place, this time it is on the championship podium. Of course, it is only three weeks and the championship is still very long. But if last season started with lost points in Teutë and Elbasan, while this season has brought a reaction and positive results after the loss to Vora, then Dinamo has at least one concrete reason to see the start of 2026/27 as a more promising step.
