The Vetëvendosje movement has once again secured a lead in the recent parliamentary elections in Kosovo.
According to data published from the counting process, Vetëvendosje leads with 42.92% of the votes, collecting 297,296 votes nationwide.
In second place is the Democratic Party of Kosovo with 21.06% or 145,856 votes, while the Democratic League of Kosovo is positioned third with 17.61% of the votes, which translates into 121,976 votes.
Preliminary results show this ranking of political forces:
Self-Determination Movement – 42.92% (297,296 votes)
Democratic Party of Kosovo – 21.06% (145,856 votes)
Democratic League of Kosovo – 17.61% (121,976 votes)
Alliance for the Future of Kosovo – 7.18% (49,705 votes)
Srpska Lista – 6.17% (42,761 votes)
Kosovo Democratic Türk Party - 0.77% (5,334 votes)
The counting process is nearing completion, with more than 99 percent of votes processed. Out of a total of 2,498 ballot boxes, 2,483 have been counted by the early hours of the morning, making the results almost final.
If the current trend remains unchanged until the official certification of the result, Vetëvendosje will secure a landslide victory, maintaining its position as the main political force in Kosovo.
