Prime Minister Edi Rama has announced that the government will exempt journalists from the defamation law. According to him, this is a step towards free speech.
Edi Rama: We have committed to decriminalizing defamation for journalists. There are no journalists who have actually been hit by defamation lawsuits, but we will also take this step that goes towards freedom of speech.
I want to emphasize that we are not simply in the conditions where we express our will.
