The head of the Democratic Party parliamentary group, Gazment Bardhi, reacted today on social media by harshly criticizing Prime Minister Edi Rama for his stances towards judicial decisions, following the suspension of Belinda Balluku from her duties as Deputy Prime Minister and minister.

Bardhi described Rama’s behavior as an attempt to protect power and corruption, attacking justice whenever it approaches government officials. He used metaphors comparing Rama to “Don Quixote” fighting windmills, but stressed that the problem is not the metaphors, but the prime minister’s fear of his suspected actions.

According to Bardhi, Rama's actions show that he does not accept the limits of the law and claims to be the sole guarantor of justice, while in a legal state, justice is guaranteed by the Constitution, the separation of powers and equality before the law. Bardhi added that justice does not need political tutors, but the force of the law and its equal application for all.

He called on the Assembly to convene on Monday to consider SPAK's request and pave the way for the arrest, warning that any further delay would be a clear obstruction of justice.

"The law is not negotiated. It is implemented," Bardhi concluded in his response, emphasizing the importance of respecting the Constitution and justice institutions.
