The disappearance of Eglant Koç is being investigated by specialized structures of the State Police, while searches have been intensified in several areas around Tirana, but also in Elbasan.

Tirana Police Director Oliger Torba stated in a press conference that the case is being followed by serious crime structures and that a special investigative group has been set up to locate the missing person. According to him, the investigations are focused on several neighborhoods of the capital, where field checks and verifications are being carried out, while other possible leads are being analyzed in parallel.

“A special structure is handling the case and the searches are focused on several areas around Tirana,” Torba said, adding that the operation is ongoing. He also confirmed that the searches have been expanded outside the Tirana region, including the Elbasan area, as part of the investigation to find Koç. Koç is suspected of being killed and disappeared by his close friend, Armand Shakaj, who is on the run.
