Canadian authorities have identified the perpetrator of the massacre that occurred yesterday at a school, where eight people were killed and 25 others were injured.

This is about 18-year-old Jesse Van Rootselaar, who, according to local media, was born a boy, but 6 years ago, when she was only 12 years old, she began a period of transformation because she felt female.

The perpetrator was found dead at the scene, and it is suspected that she committed suicide.

Before the massacre, Jesse had also taken the lives of his mother and 11-year-old brother, whose lifeless bodies were found in an apartment near the scene.
The victims at the school were a 39-year-old teacher, three female students, all 12 years old, and two male students, one 12 years old and the other 13 years old.

Authorities do not believe there are any other suspects involved in the shooting.

Police said Van Rootselaar had dropped out of Tumbler Ridge High School four years ago.
