Elbasan is going through a turbulent period, where attention has not only been focused on the field of play, but also on other factors that have directly influenced the team's performance. The Yellow and Blues have faced ongoing controversy regarding refereeing, while in parallel the leaders are quietly working to strengthen the team during the winter transfer window.
On the one hand, the referees' decisions have often been at the center of discussions, creating dissatisfaction and tension in the Elbasan camp. On the other hand, the club has chosen not to be distracted from its sporting objectives, focusing on building a more competitive team for the rest of the season.
ARBITRATION – Elbasan has not had a good relationship with the refereeing this season, as in several matches the yellow-blue team has felt harmed by the referees' decisions. There has often been dissatisfaction within the club about the way some crucial episodes have been interpreted, which, according to them, have directly influenced the outcome of the matches. The most recent case that has brought reactions was the challenge against Egnatia, which ended in a draw.
In that meeting, two penalties were awarded, decisions that were accompanied by strong contestations from the Elbasan camp. According to them, the episodes were controversial and left room for controversy, further increasing the tension between the club and the referees. However, despite the accumulated dissatisfaction, the newspaper learns that in Elbasan they do not intend to continue with protest notes to the Albanian Football Association. The approach is now calmer, with the hope that the controversial episodes will not be repeated and that the judgment will be as correct as possible in the future.
MARKET SITUATION – Elbasani and Gvozdenovic are awaiting the first approaches in this winter market, while the club has not officially made any moves yet. However, practically the work has been done behind the scenes and two agreements can be considered closed, although not yet formalized. It is about the Senegalese midfielder Insa Boye, 23 years old, who is expected to be the first concrete approach. Sources close to "Panorama Sport" indicate that the player will arrive in Albania on January 22 and immediately after that he will be placed under the orders of coach Gvozdenovic.
The club considers this transfer to be complete and now only the formal aspect remains to be formalized. A more complicated situation presents itself for the second approach. Samuel Nongoh, the 21-year-old from Cameroon who plays as a winger, has not yet resolved the bureaucratic problems with the visa. Given his technical characteristics, he is seen as a “souza” of Diallo and is highly appreciated by the technical staff, but for the moment everything depends on providing him with the necessary documentation. The club hopes that this issue will be resolved as soon as possible, so that Nongoh can also join the team. If these two approaches materialize according to plan, Elbasan’s transfer market will most likely be considered closed. The directors do not foresee any other moves, unless a free player appears on the horizon, an opportunity that cannot be rejected and that would change the club’s current plans.
