On Europe Day, Prime Minister Edi Rama has given a clear message to the opposition regarding electoral reform, emphasizing that dialogue remains the only way to reach consensus between political parties.
He stressed that approaches with impositions and ultimatums are not acceptable. Rama added that the majority is ready to discuss any proposal, emphasizing the reduction of the number of deputies in the Assembly as an objective. Focusing on the administrative-territorial reform, the Prime Minister stated that the process has been comprehensive and open to debate between the parties.
"Electoral reform; You should contact the leader of this reform, which is Gjiknuri. We are open to listening patiently to anyone who sits at the table to talk and discuss. Impositions, ultimatums, predetermined positions, I believe that it is long enough to understand that with me and us they cannot work. We are interested in reducing the number of members of parliament. I hope we have consensus. From these, any other discussion is open. Regarding the administrative-territorial reform, the process has been comprehensive.", he said.
