Elon Musk has announced "Terafab," a chip factory in Texas that will be built jointly by Tesla and SpaceX. The plant will produce semiconductors for artificial intelligence and robotics, writes il messaggero.it.
Musk stated that "Terafab Texas" will become, by a wide margin, the most valuable building in the world.
Tesla and SpaceX plan to invest $16.8 billion to start construction. According to documents filed with regulatory authorities and made public this week, the total cost could reach up to $119 billion, spread over several phases.

Musk made this statement in a post on X, where he also praised the projected design for the factory.
According to analysts' estimates, the structure could generate more than a trillion units of processing capacity for artificial intelligence each year.
The factory will use 2 nanometer chip technology, one of the most advanced technologies available today.
Social media users immediately began comparing the size of "Terafab" to some of the largest structures on the planet.
Side-by-side images showed the factory opposite Tesla's Gigafactory in Austin, government buildings, company campuses and shopping malls built to welcome millions of visitors each year.
