Elseid Hysaj could be very close to a new adventure in Serie A. The Albanian right-back is in talks with Lecce, after becoming a free agent at the end of his contract with Lazio, ending a five-year stay in the Italian capital.

According to reports from Italy, more specifically from renowned journalist Gianlucca Di Marzio, contacts between the parties have begun and negotiations are underway, with Lecce considering the possibility of bringing the experienced footballer closer to the team.

Last season was not one of the best for Hysaj, who was only active in five Serie A matches. However, during his five years with Lazio he recorded 131 appearances in all competitions, scoring two goals and providing four assists.

If the deal is finalized, the 32-year-old will start a new chapter in his career, remaining part of the elite of Italian football. After Empoli, Napoli and Lazio, Lecce could be the next stop for the Shkodran player in Serie A. We recall that Lecce also plays for another Albanian footballer, midfielder Medon Berisha, while Ylber Ramadani has only a few days left the Verdhekuq club for the Turkish Super League.
