The Chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has made a strong and public call to all democratic members and sympathizers to join and strongly support the civic revolt that has engulfed Tirana's boulevard for weeks.
Through a statement, the opposition leader described the resistance of citizens and young people as "epic heroism", which is continuing despite what he called the government terror of Edi Rama and his structures against the participants and organizers.
Berisha emphasized that this peaceful movement has already managed to secure broad international support and constitutes a historic moment for the country, comparing it to the movements of the previous three decades.
"The peaceful uprising of Albanian youth and citizens continued undefeated, securing great international support. Expressing once again the strongest support for this movement, for this unprecedented protest since the 90s in the history of Albania, I invite every democrat to participate in its spirit as citizens, to do everything for its success," Berisha said.
