US President Donald Trump's special envoy, Steve Witkoff, and Trump's son-in-law, Jared Kushner, are expected to visit Israel on Tuesday.

The focus will be on talks on the war between Israel and Iran, while disagreements between Washington and Tel Aviv have arisen due to Israeli attacks on Iran's oil infrastructure, foreign media report.

Citing a senior American official, Channel 12 television reports that the planned visit comes after disagreements between the US and Israel regarding yesterday's Israeli attacks on Iranian oil facilities.

A senior US security official also said that Israel had notified Washington in advance of plans to target oil infrastructure, but had not indicated that the attacks would be so wide-ranging.
