Ukraine has agreed on new energy and military support packages with European allies ahead of the fourth anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion on February 24, President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Sunday.

Kiev aims to rally support among partners while trying to avoid Russian advances on the battlefield and air strikes on its energy system, while under pressure from the US to negotiate peace.

"In Munich, we agreed with the leaders of the Berlin Format on specific energy and military assistance packages for Ukraine by February 24," Zelensky wrote on X.

Zelensky said on Friday after a so-called Berlin Format meeting with a group of European leaders in Munich that he hoped for new support, including air defense missiles.

"I am grateful to our partners for their willingness to help and we rely on all shipments arriving promptly," he added.

Russian attacks on major cities like Kiev have damaged Ukraine's energy infrastructure, plunging millions of residents into power outages for varying periods in freezing weather.

Zelensky added that Russia had launched about 1,300 attack drones, 1,200 guided aerial bombs and dozens of ballistic missiles towards Ukraine in the past week alone.
