Investigators of the incident that occurred at the "EIDA" gas station in the Brryl area of Tirana do not yet have a clear conclusion on the main cause that led to the explosion and partial collapse of the building.

The investigation team has questioned the three employees injured in the incident, whose testimonies have helped establish three main lines of verification.

According to sources from the investigation team, the three injured employees stated that at the time of the explosion they were refueling a vehicle in the gas station square. They stated that they are not clear how the incident started, as everything happened within a few seconds. However, experts have noted that there was also a gas cylinder near the building that was severely damaged, which has increased suspicions of a potential leak or malfunction of auxiliary equipment.

Currently, the investigations are focusing on three specific technical leads to determine the origin of the fire and explosion. The first is related to the vehicle itself that was being refueled at the time, to see if there was an explosive defect in its gas system. The second is related to a possible breakdown in the EIDA station's fuel pump itself.

The third track involves checking the gas cylinder located near the building, to discover if there has been a gas leak in the environment that could have been ignited by an electrical spark or other heat source.
