A few hours before the verdict is announced in The Hague for the former leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army, the "Flame of Freedom" was lit for the last time in Pristina.

The activity took place in the capital's square, in front of a large screen where portraits of four former KLA leaders were displayed: Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli, Jakup Krasniqi and Rexhep Selimi.

In this square, citizens are expected to gather again tomorrow to follow the announcement of the verdict of the Kosovo Specialist Chambers in The Hague.

Some of those present have expressed their willingness to stay all night in the Pristina square, until the verdict against the four former KLA leaders is announced tomorrow.

The atmosphere in the capital of Kosovo remains charged with emotions, while the Hague verdict is awaited with great attention by citizens, families and supporters of the accused.

Also, the director of Public Services in Pristina, Leutrim Retkoceri, has announced the placement of the KLA symbol "around" Pristina.

Retkoceri has also published a video of the placement of the symbol, accompanying it with a message awaiting the decision of the Special Court in The Hague for the former KLA leaders.

"Today, the symbol of our freedom flies over Pristina. Waiting for justice. In honor of the KLA. In the name of freedom," Retkoceri wrote.
