Briken Calja leaves his mark at the European Weightlifting Championships. The Albanian weightlifter was declared European champion in the clean and jerk style, thus showing that he remains one of the best. Initially, Calja could not lift 185 kg, but improved everything later, lifting 187 kg, a result that gave him the gold medal.
In the snatch, Calja placed only in fourth place with 153 kg. In the clean and jerk with 340 kg, Calja also won the silver medal. The European Weightlifting Championship is held in Georgia.
