An elderly woman who fell from the terrace of the Nursing Home in Gjirokastra has died this afternoon.
The news has been confirmed by the Fier Memorial Hospital, where 72-year-old Sheqere Zeko arrived without signs of life in the trauma ward.
According to preliminary information, she suffered fractures in her shoulder and leg after falling from a height of about 7 meters while she was contemplating nature on the terrace.
Initially, the 72-year-old was transported by ambulance to Gjirokastra Hospital, where she underwent examinations and her condition was reported to be stable and out of danger to her life.
However, about an hour later, his health condition deteriorated, necessitating transfer to the Fier Memorial Hospital for more specialized treatment.
It is learned that she died during transportation to Fier. The full circumstances of the incident are expected to be clarified by the relevant authorities.
