A large-scale fire engulfed the restaurant that is part of the "Mesopotam Agrotourism" resort, located on the Saranda-Blue Eye national road, this Sunday morning, completely burning it down.
According to preliminary information, the fire broke out around 05:30 in the morning. The flames spread rapidly throughout the restaurant, causing significant material damage and completely destroying the structure.
The Finiqi fire services rushed to the scene, which intervened quickly and made it possible to isolate the flames, preventing the fire from spreading to the nearby wooden cabins that are part of the resort.
Preliminary sources indicate that the fire is suspected to have been caused by a spark or a problem in the electrical network. However, experts are continuing their investigations to determine exactly what caused the flames in the agrotourism structure.
