An apartment near the "Tasho" pastry shop in the city of Korça has been engulfed in flames. It is reported that an elderly man has lost his life inside his apartment due to asphyxiation.
According to preliminary data, the fire has just broken out on one floor of the building, while smoke is spreading throughout the building.
Firefighters and police forces have currently arrived and are evacuating residents.
It is suspected that the cause of the fire is due to negligence, but it has not yet been confirmed.

At around 15:45, in neighborhood no. 15, Korça, on the first floor of a building, a fire is suspected to have broken out in the apartment of citizen UH, about 72 years old.

As a result of asphyxiation, citizen UH, who was in the apartment, died.

Police and fire services are at the scene and are evacuating the building's residents and extinguishing the fire.

The investigative group under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office is working to clarify the circumstances and cause of the fire.
