The situation created by the fire in the territory of the Municipality of Krujë has escalated, forcing the authorities to order the immediate evacuation of the residents of the Barabit-Lluban area. The decision was taken in implementation of Law no. 45/2019 “On Civil Protection”, the National Plan and Local Civil Emergency Plans, due to the risk posed by the spread of flames.

The evacuation process is being carried out in coordination with the National Civil Protection Agency, the Prefect of Durrës District and the Civil Emergency structures of the Krujë Municipality.

The vehicles and structures of the Municipality of Kruja, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the State Police and the Armed Forces will be deployed to evacuate residents from the endangered area. Children, the elderly, people with disabilities and families located in isolated areas will be given priority during the evacuation.

The Municipality of Kruja has announced that it will guarantee temporary housing for evacuated citizens, their registration, provision of basic needs and health assistance. The authorities have called on the residents of Barab-Llubani to follow the instructions of the structures on the ground as a priority and to cooperate during the evacuation process, to guarantee their safety. Meanwhile, there are reports of explosions of weapons.
