A serious fire situation has been reported in the Himara area, with flames advancing towards residential areas.

Due to the risk of the fire spreading, residents have been urgently urged to evacuate homes, businesses or other premises that may be at risk.

In the announcement distributed by Mayor Vangjel Tavo, citizens are asked to show maximum caution and follow the instructions of the authorities during the situation.

Citizens are also appealed to, if necessary, to immediately seek assistance from the State Police, Municipal Police, fire services and emergency medical services.

"Remain calm and follow the instructions of the authorities!" the announcement says.
