Barcelona are in a hurry to close the transfer of Rodri as soon as possible, but Man.City is becoming an obstacle, with the hope and objective of getting the most out of the Spanish midfielder's card. After the first offer was rejected, Barcelona has presented a second verbal offer, 60 million euros, plus various bonuses, but again this proposal apparently does not fully satisfy the "citizens" as the leaders of Man.City claim to benefit at least 80 million euros from the best player of the "FIFA2026" World Cup.
Despite the apparent difference of 20 million euros between offer and demand being very large, there is optimism within Barcelona's ranks, they believe that the player will soon wear the Blaugrana jersey.
Barça is in a comfortable position in these negotiations, for two reasons, first and most importantly, the player has expressed his desire to transfer to Barcelona, with the parties having found a total agreement between them. Second, Man.City cannot resist for long as the player will enter the year his contract expires, they risk losing him for free in 2027.
