Five pump attendants of the Trepça Company were left inside the mine for several hours due to technical problems with the electricity supply.
The head of the Trepça union, Ibrahim Jonuzi, confirmed that the workers stayed at their workplaces for about 8–9 hours, until the situation stabilized.
"There are five caretaker pump operators who have remained at their jobs in the mine due to technical problems with the electricity. They have been there for about 8-9 hours," Jonuzi stated.
He announced that all the pump operators have left the mine without any incident and have returned to their homes. According to Jonuzi, their health condition is good and no consequences have been reported.
