The Democratic Party's deputies in the Lezha district, Gjin Gjoni and Kastriot Piroli, have seen up close the situation created by the floods in the Fushë-Kuqe area in Kurbin, where the residents of the Adriatik village have been under the power of water for five days, which has caused major damage, mainly in agriculture and livestock.

During meetings with MPs, residents expressed that, despite the isolation and numerous difficulties created by the presence of water, no one has been interested in their fate. According to them, floods have become a recurring phenomenon, due to the malfunctioning and lack of maintenance of drainage channels, as well as negligence and lack of attention from local and central governments.

Deputies Gjin Gjoni and Kastriot Piroli declared that, as representatives of the Democratic Party and deputies of this region, they will raise their voices forcefully for full compensation for the affected residents and for taking concrete measures to minimize flooding, which has become a constant problem in both Kurbin and Lezha.
