Former FBI Director James Comey will go on trial on July 15, where he will face new criminal charges for threatening President Donald Trump.
Federal District Judge Louise Flanagan of the U.S. District Court in New Bern, North Carolina, announced that Comey faces two charges related to a threat to Trump's life.
Comey has denied any wrongdoing and described the case as a vendetta. Previous charges against him were dropped, and his lawyers have announced they will seek to dismiss the new indictment, calling it a selective and vindictive prosecution.
