A serious incident was recorded last evening in Lezha, where the former leader of the Democratic Party in the administrative unit of Dajçi, in Zadrima, was brutally raped by still unidentified persons.
53-year-old Sokol Toma was hit with hard objects and, due to the injuries he sustained, was initially transported for medical assistance and then sent to the Trauma Hospital for more specialized treatment.
Hospital sources indicate that the aggressors caused him serious physical injuries, breaking his legs and cutting off part of his ear. The 53-year-old is currently hospitalized in the orthopedics ward.
The incident occurred at around 22:00 on the Mamurras–Laç axis, in the Sandzak area. According to preliminary data, the perpetrators, who are suspected of being masked, attacked him with hard objects and then took his mobile phone. The police have launched an investigation and are working to identify and arrest the perpetrators, while the motives for this serious incident are still unknown.
